Before I forget Sunday night I had a dream about this bugwell not exactly that one but one similar but more of a peachy/beige
he somehow got in my belly and was banging trying to get out, eventually I woke up to my son kicking with all his might!
Lately he has started to stretch out I think I'm not sure except he hits both sides of my stomach at the same time it's so fun!

things I've been thinking we need lately
So I've really been focusing and noticing how things don't bring happiness but love, peace, and truth do. Anyway being that we are having a baby there are a few things he's going to need, and a couple things I am going to need and or maybe want to enjoy!
Cuisinart ICE-21R Automatic Frozen Yogurt-Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker Imagine all the yummy ice cream's, frozen yogurts, and sorbet's I could concoct!
or this for a room divider/really cute place to put our babies cute things on
and this is for mom to let loose all her creativity that's been stifled for the past 8 years, don't worry I won't make any puffy flowered curtains. Next time my birthday, Christmas or maybe the 4th of July rolls around since I don't want to wait till Dec remind me that I have everything I want picked out. Oh wait I forgot something

Days 3-6
Day 3: Oh gosh I'm already forgetting, I remember we spent all day at the beach haha what's new, our resort had bikes so we went for a bike ride around Playacar, there were lots of little ruins we stopped by, I wish I had taken my camera. We got back and tried the pool for the first time and played bingo which is something they do everyday at 3. We then went for a run and had dinner. We talked to a couple at the beach who just loved us to pieces Fiona the teacher and her fire fighter man. They were both adorable, in their early 40's and from Canada. They met when they were 14 and we'll call him Rick went to ask her to dance at a school dance and then some older guy walked up to Fiona and kissed her, he backed off and she married that guy, they ended up getting a divorce and Rick, the firefighter realized he could finally be with the woman he loved so cute, so they were sad they didn't have any kids together but just thought we were the coolest couple. I loved them I thought they were so cute too even though Fiona told me she still has her 1st child's 1st dirty diaper, I will think of her as I throw mine away.
Day 4: Day 4 was Sunday, we did our best to keep the sabbath holy, we spent the morning at the beach reading and trying to keep cool. I felt pretty fried so we moved into one of those canopy bed things and took a nap it was nice and breezy and we were out of the direct sun. I woke up to 3pm bingo, they play some wild music and we decided to walk to church which was at 5. So it was about a 35 min walk and when we arrived it was the catholic church apparently La Iglasia De Jesu Christo De Los Santo Dos Ultimos Dias was not clear to him. So we stopped at a nearby hotel and asked him where it was, we arrived there at about 5:20 the jolly bishopric let us know church had ended an hour ago, seems the hotel also must have the service times mixed with the 7th Day Adventists as we had passed them and they were meeting at 5. My pregnant ankles were killing me, but we made our way back to the resort and meanwhile learned a lot about the town.
Day 5: TJ set his alarm for 6:30, he decided he was going to hit up the continental breakfast and get our rental car before I woke up. I tried to communicate to him that in foreign countries people are not such early risers but I was half asleep. TJ came back and said the rental place didn't even open for another hour, he also said the breakfast was great but later on he confessed there was coffee and a cantaloupe sitting outside the restaurant. We laughed our heads off. So we finally got our rental car about 9 I think and headed to Coba. It was a really fun drive, I had to educate TJ that just because the stop signs said Alto he still had to stop although the crazy truck behind us didn't either. We also learned the shoulder of the road is considered a lane, and they have lots of random speed bumps on highways as you go through towns. We were in the middle of the jungle and flew over one. All of a sudden our tank read empty we were a bit scared. We pulled over turned off the car and turned it back on and it was fine, phew! We got cash for the sights and I had to growl at and shoo little Mexican children away, they were fun. We payed $25 for a tour of Coba, I would recommend getting your own book although the guy who took us probably really needed the money and he was really good I just felt it was pretty short for $25. We walked the rest of the way to the other pyramids. We saw Iguana's along the way. I ran up the pyramid only to look back and see TJ crawling up it. For some reason going up wasn't scary to me. We were there March 21 and the Mayans had made the temple at Chichen Iza to have a snake going down the side by the shadow from the sun on that date. We were still a ways away I had already been there before and we heard that there was going to be at least 60k people plus we had planned on going to Tulum and snorkeling so we decided to forgo, but next year Paul McCartney is supposed to be there, sounds fun! Tulum was beautiful I think this is my favorite ruin site, if I were an ancient Mayan that is where I would live, it was right on the beach and gorgeous!!! There were Iguanas everywhere here. We drove up to Akumal Bay after that and went snorkeling. I made TJ hold my hand it was so romantic. We saw Sea Turtles, they were so cute, we would get really excited and just watch them and they would get a little nervous and put there heads in and out to see if we were still there it was so cute! We saw lots of pretty fish and headed into a beautiful coral reef. So in Greece when I was 14 I got stung by something in the coral/rocks, my dad had told me not to play there and I had anyway. Needless to say I started to panic. The tide was coming in and I got really nervous about slashing my belly open on some coral or something so I found a piece of coral and landed on it with my flippers. I stood up and started panicking! TJ tried to stand on it too and got cut up. Finally I pushed him away and then dove off and swam as quick as I could out of there. Then I was ok again and enjoyed the rest of the snorkeling. I guess TJ had seen a family go through there but I hadn't and didn't know if there was a safe path through, and didn't want to find out.
Day 6: I woke up hoping to get a morning run in before our flight, I heard some water noise and went on our balcony it was pouring rain! I moved TJ's chaco's just before the rain started blowing on our balcony. The day after the solstice is what the Mayans considered there rainy season. Welcome rain! We ate breakfast and headed to the airport jamming out to 90's songs that were playing on the van's radio. FYI don't plan on eating at the Cancun airport, a mini pizza was $30 and a bag of chex mix was $11 luckily we had fruit and Laura bars to last us till Denver. We then dined at Paradise Cafe. We arrived home around midnight and I was relieved to not find squatters in our home.

Playacar
I'm quite forgetful these days which for those who really know me is quite a shocker because I never forget anything. So before I ftorget what happened on our vacation I will document it here if it bores you look at the pictures and move on, but for me it will be a treasured memory.
Day1: We arrived to the Reef Playacar around 4pm local time. Playacar is a private community just south of Playa Del Carmen or maybe it was north but it felt south. Anyway it is super clean and no one drives in our out without checking in at the security points. We threw on our swimsuits and headed for the beach! We grabbed some virgin Pina Colada's along the way. They had all kinds of awesome beach bed canopy things which I totally snoozed on Sunday. We then ate dinner at an Argentinian resteraunt which we ate at almost every night I think we went Italian one night. TJ ate salmon every night while I tried something new every time, everything was yummy! We crashed in our beds pretty early as I had only slept 3 hours the night before and had some sinus infection thing.
Day 2: I woke up at the crack of dawn about 6am to jungle bird noises and my sinus/allergy issues had vanished into thin air thank goodness for humidity and heat! We went for a run barefoot along the beach and than ate breakfast overlooking the perfectly turquoise beach, where I discovered this awesome lady who made me an omelet of my choosing every morning. We then headed out to the beach! I'll have to admit that our bed actually 2 beds haha were rather hard and our toilet didn't flush so we got moved into a different room with the cushiest bed like 20 pillows and a jungle view. I explained to the desk we were married and would like one bed, he then explained it to his manager in Spanish which I understand and I don't think they knew I understood it was funny. Oh yes did I mention our entire resort is in a preserved jungle. We saw all kinds of new animals just at the resort the one of the cat like marsupial looking thing is a stolen image. We even held a monkey named Jessica who kept snuggling me and hissing at TJ. The beach was amazing and the sand was soft and the water was fun to play in and clean. Later that evening we walked to Playa del Carmen and caught some awesome beach pictures under the full moon. I'm ready for bed so I'll have to catch you up on the rest of the days later.

3 Random thoughts of the day!
Random thoughts of the Day:
1- I was singing a song and sang "I love you" baby boy gave me a good thump yes I do love you weird . . . I have no idea how or why, I don't even know you but how could I possibly not.
2- TJ is so good at cutting up mangoes and I am so good at choosing mangoes what would we do without each other, he chooses the gnarly ones and I loose half the mango chopping!?
3- Umm did our baby just do 8 back flips????
4- Oh yes and when I put on a dress that I wore like a month ago today, that is normally loose and now I am uhh filling it out quite well, will I ever be small again???

Bean and Rice Gumbo
Today there was a mean snow storm and for some reason this sounded good, I improvised using a few recipes on line.
Bean and Rice Gumbo Healthy Style:
- about 1 T olive oil
- some flour
- 1/2 onion
- bell pepper
- 1 stalk of celery
- 2 cloves of garlic
- about 1/2 of a Hilshire Farms sausage sliced (chicken would have been healthier but I was not stopping my car after work till I got home and this is all we had)
- 32 oz chicken broth (low sodium/low fat)
- 2 cans of diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 2 cans of beans, I used 1 can of pinto 1 can of black (I drained the black beans and filled it with water)
- some hot sauce
- some chili powder
- some crushed red pepper
meanwhile boil a cup of rice and add when done simmering
This is pretty spicy, which I love but I'm sure if you omit the last 3 spices it would be much tamer.
As you can see I ate my soup with a plastic spoon classy I know. I was starving and our dishes were mostly dirty. Being pregnant I want to throw away everything we own just to help keep things simple and clean. After looking for a spoon and realizing that we used all of them to scoop food for my brother-in-laws puppy we were watching this weekend and than searching for the ladle and remembering oh ya the puppy somehow got a hold of that too one day and it was also waiting to be cleaned I started to fantasize that maybe I would quit cleaning, cooking, and grocery shopping all together and just eat out every meal. Luckily just then TJ hopped in and started washing dishes and we were able to clean up after the craziness of the puppy. I found several washcloths and socks all over our house that he managed to capture at one point or another and run around the house with. I promise to work on my run on sentences, maybe in my next post.

A day in the life of a pregnant woman amongst PMS'ing women
I walk into work, smiling and get this look that says welcome to prison. I hope everyone is just tired after all I was dragging this morning too. Than I get welcomed with the quizzical "how did you do so well yesterday" from jealous coworkers. Next up, I can't find my manager so I turn to my old manager who sits with us and often baby sits us and ask a question, even he yes he says bitingly "I don't know why don't you ask your manager" and walah just out of eye sight around the corner is my manager. To which a coworker says "how dare you offend your manager like that" completely serious. Another coworker asks a question, my manager doesn't respond, so I tell him the answer to which I get more biting comments and remarks.
A few hours later another coworker walks in who looks like her best friend just died. Seriously! So we are chatting and come to find out one of our other coworkers, her best friend, is dating a dirt bag drug addict, so I'm trying to learn about it so I know what to say as I consider all these ladies my friends even on their worst days and hope I can talk some sense into her and help her see she deserves better and doesn't end up a drug addict. To which my manager who I also consider a friend even on her worse day yells "enough!, not one more word about it!". Just than my perpetually happy manager walks in and I smile, mostly at the humor of the whole days situation but also happy to see someone else happy. He keeps trying to find out what we were banished from talking about but we all remain mute, talking about things can get you in trouble at work. I look around and see a coworkers birthday card from the office, I've spent 3 birthdays there and haven't gotten a single 1, one year I got a Costa Vida salad the day before but it was for a contest I won. All I can think of is well I'm glad TJ is my best friend. Sure I've had my bad days but I usually keep to myself and try to refrain from responding to these common everyday bitings in like manner. Finally I decide this whole place either needs some Midol or bananas, I hear bananas contain Prozac naturally. Maybe a window would help we have one opaque skylight in our whole department and I'm pretty sure everyone that spends most of their daylight hours there is suffering from Seasonal Defective Disorder .
