1 year!

Dear Huds, It's been the best year of my life, largely because of you! You have brought the cheeriest happiest soul into our home! You were born smiling, well the day after you smiled all morning. Since than that's pretty much all you've known. You don't even need sleep to be happy. You usually fall asleep with a smile and wake up with one too. Your first two words that you really know and say are Dada and TJ. You and dad have such a special bond I love it! You took your first steps at church today and didn't even realize it because you were having too much fun with other kids. You are Mr Social Pants, and have the most beautiful eyes that no one can get enough of. Everyone loves to smile at you and you love to wave and smile at everyone too. You love balls and cars. You also love snuggling all your stuffed animals. Oh and you love music! Your latest is Adele. You stayed with your Yia Yia for the weekend and when I picked you up, you were singing to Adele, and Yia Yia said that was your favorite. Along with Adele you like The Samples, Fictionist, Jack Johnson, The Beetles, and Coldplay. I must say you have good taste! You love singing, drumming, and conducting with two hands. You love to help with laundry even though it usually consists of flicking clothes out of the basket and than back in sometimes the same item of clothing over and over again. It's ok I know that's what mom looks like to you. You also love any kind of screw and often unscrew the knobs off of dressers or other random screws, mom has to watch you carefully! You love dogs and have no fear of them, you will stick your hands in their mouths and laugh your head off whenever they move. Your latest favorite food is peaches and nectarines. Once when you were a new baby you sucked on mom's nectarine, all on your own accord. You eat a whole one every morning, skin and all, all the way to the pit! Now when we go grocery shopping you yell when we go past them and I have to put one in your hands. Then the whole trip you will wait for me to give you permission to eat it, always trying to sneak in a bite when I'm not looking, with your mischievous, twinkly eyes. About those, you have the cutest flick of your eyebrow, that lets me know you are up to something. Usually you found an iphone or are about to empty the cupboards or drink out of my water bottle. Don't try to hide anything from me in the future buddy, I know you well! You had 2 parties for your first birthday, well so far. One was with Yia Yia and your cousins Vince and Lydia. We had a big bash planned for Saturday night when monsoon season rolled in, unfortunately we couldn't fit everyone into our place, so dad and I fed you your bear cake, it was supposed to be a monkey but it looked like a bear. At first you pushed it away from you, then dad gave you a few pointers and you gobbled it by the handfuls. Then you wanted a hot dog. We love you so much Huds and would do anything for you! I hope you are this awesome through your teenage years! XOXO Love, Mom

What Life's All About

I love waking up to my two sweet men. Having them in my life is what makes me happy. I would trade any home, money, title, etc. for these two men. Sometimes I forget but really happiness is that simple for me. I sometime forget how fortunate I am but really where would I be with all the pretty things in the world and not these two, not where I want to be is the answer.

Seattle, I'm not sure I can find the words to justify it's pure awesomeness. After a month of 90 degree weather it was heaven sent. The company was the best, my sisters know how to have fun, eat good fun, and never stop talking! There was much divine food made of nutritious ingredients consumed. Even the chocolate and ice cream was original and heavenly. I've been contemplating making my own lavender ice cream everyday since I left. I saw so many UPS trucks, I may have asked TJ a couple times if we could transfer there. However it was nice to come back to my nice quiet mountain town. Although the super cute Amish tourists have taken over while I was gone and the firework ban ruined my favorite holiday. Maybe next year, Huds and I just got home from the hospital last year, so I am minus 2 years on fireworks, boorah! After this trip and being in Seattle,Salt Lake, Provo, Price, and Glenwood, I'm feeling kind of homeless. I've been reluctant do dive back in the everyday, so weird.
