prego

You know you are pregnant when:
  • You cry when you hear on the radio that the last WWI vet died
  • you come home and make homemade mac and cheese with 3 kinds of cheeses, those little bones must be growing!
  • you wake up in the middle of the night starving but don't want to get out of bed for the 3rd time
  • you are incapable of walking quickly to the bathroom, instead you waddle
  • if you haven't gotten up 3 times at night your tongue is like sandpaper
  • you get great delight out of looking at really small clothes
  • you name your baby something new everyday, I think that's just me
  • you have a pile of clothes on the floor that no longer fit flatteringly over the bump

Update

Today our baby grooved to one of Jack's more upbeat songs:-) I also read our update as I am 22 weeks today and it says that studies show he can hear noises outside the womb, I can attest that this is a true statement!

love or hate MJ and U2?

Today I was driving in my car I decided to put Jack on hold and flip through the radio stations to see if there was anything new I was missing out on. A Michael Jackson song came on and our baby started moving quite wildly, song ended he was done. So I flipped through the stations and no movement till U2, and the same thing happened song ended and he was done. Either he really likes them or he really doesn't I like both of them I can't say I listen to them all the time and maybe that is what got him going something besides Jack Johnson and mommies voice. Usually I listen to my ipod while running in the morning which I assume he can't hear and Jack Johnson for my 5 minute commute to work. Anyway, I'm trying to listen to more music to see what he responds to.

Colorado

I really miss Colorado today! I was driving in my car today thinking, my child will be born in Utah, he will think of Salt Lake as I think of Colorado Springs. This made me cry. I love it here I really do, but Colorado Springs will always be my home, well at least my first home. Something about the mountains there sigh, anyway, I think he is going to get more than a few trips there!

Fictionist

Please do the following:
1. Pause my playlist on the right towards the bottom that big green thing.
2. Press play on one or both of the Fictionist songs located on the top right in the Rolling Stone box
3. Love them
4. Go vote for them, and by vote for them I mean give them 5 stars!!!

Fictionist is in a contest to be the next up and coming band! I really think they are awesome not just because the curly haired guy is my husband's brother. I actually heard of them before I heard of my husband from a friend and checked them out and totally loved them! They used to be called Good Morning Maxfield in case any of you have been around the Provo music scene for a while. Stuart the lead singer has amazing vocals and I can't begin to describe the over all musical talent of everyone in the band. I don't think there is an instrument that someone in the band can't play. As far as I know and especially in my book every single one of them was a childhood music prodigy. They are refreshing yet comforting and that's the best way I know how to describe them in my own words. So stop reading vote and share!

Valentines Day

After a cookie, a mini-cupcake, and two Hershey's Kisses and than stepping on the scale I decided to throw the rest of the cake I made away. It was an amazing recipe I'll have to post it some time.

In celebration of the big day, I made 1-eyed jack heart toast for TJ and a heart mobile inspired by Martha Stewart who accompanies me every morning as I get ready for work.

Here's me at 20 weeks 4 days, today at work I got half the people saying you don't look pregnant at all and the other half saying I looked 25 weeks, I swear I'm only eating salad, fruit, and protein for the rest of my pregnancy.

The little guy has started getting on my nerves already! Really, my outer left thigh goes numb about once a day till I sit down, at first I thought I had a blood clot and flipped, but my Dr and the nurses have all said this is normal, as my uterus is growing and getting heavier when I stand it drops and presses on my nerves, sometimes I just have to jiggle our little guy and than it goes away he really has found some cozy spot on them. I'm not sure if getting on my nerves in the womb is a good omen. Oh and I have to note that yesterday he gave me a huge whack, I'm pretty sure it was an arm. We were sitting at church and I jumped and gasped grabbing my belly. Regardless of all this mom-abuse, I'm super excited to meet him and hold him and have two Valentine's next year. We've been trying to name him and so far it's been different every day. We just might need to see the little guy.
